Why should I vote?

Everyone needs help finding a business at some point. Help others find businesses by voting for them and at the same time reward the businesses you vote for by helping them become the best business in one or more categories. If you have ever moved or been out of town visiting, you'll greatly appreciate the help in finding a business. Or maybe you want to try something new!

Can I suggest a category if I don't see it?

Yes! When done voting you click on "Finish Voting" (in the side menu) and there is a place where you can suggest one or more categories. If you have already voted you can still go back to voting and suggest categories.

If a business doesn't show in the voting autocomplete, can I still vote for it?

Yes! You can type in the full name of the business and then either move on to the next category or choose the write-in option.

Do I have to vote in every category?

No! Only vote for the best businesses in the categories that you think they were the best. Try voting for at least 30 categories.

Can I come back later to finish voting or to change votes?

Yes! You can come back anytime up until voting ends. You are able to add, change or remove votes at any time until voting ends.

Can I add, change, or remove my votes later?

Yes! You are welcome to add, change or remove votes at any time until voting ends. If you come back after voting ends, your previous votes will be applied to the previous voting period and any new or changed votes will be applied in the new voting period.

Why do I have to verify my account?

We want the best businesses to win! Not the best ballot stuffers. This allows us to have the most trusted data for winning businesses. Our verification process is confidential, uses multiple data points, and is continually evolving.

You can use the contact us page and select the appropriate contact us reason.

How do I register my business?

Easy! Go fill out our Business Registration form! Take action and do it now! Don't miss out! Businesses that register will also receive materials (winner kit, notifications) sooner (where available).

How do I become a UnityLocal BEST Winner?

Simple! You get the most votes. The top 5 businesses with the most votes will be listed as winners. If there is not enough nominees there is a possibility that there could be less than 5 businesses listed. Make sure your business is registered and start campaigning early and often throughout the year!

I'm listed as a "Runner Up", what does that mean?

Unfortunately, you didn't receive enough votes to be a Winner, however you still qualified with enough votes to be listed as a runner up. Not every business that didn't win will be a runner up. There is a maximum of 15 runner ups, however there could be less depending upon the number of businesses nominated in the category and other factors. Make sure you start campaigning early and often throughout the year!

Can I trust the results? Could a business ballot stuff?

We want the best businesses to win. Period! Not the best ballot stuffers. We use a verification process to validate voters to the best of our ability. Our verification process is confidential, uses multiple data points, and is continually evolving. This allows us to have the most trusted data. This is not your average vote / "best of" survey!

How do I get people to vote for my business?

1. If you have registered your business you can go to your campaign materials page. Your campaign materials page has templates and unique links for your business to drive customers to your own unique voting page. This makes it easy for voters to find and vote for you!

2. Ask customers in person, thru email or social media for their vote throughout the year. Especially after they buy a product or use your service. Don't expect everyone to vote for you in the last week of voting. Procrastination is not your friend.

3. This is super important! Put your unique voting link on your website and social media pages. Your unique voting link is on your campaign materials page. It's important to make it easy for your customers to find your voting link.

4. Don't forget to follow all the steps in the campaign materials page. It's important to make it easy for your customers to find your voting link. You need to start now!

Who are the Winners?

1. Winners ~ are those that have ranked in the Top 5 (sometimes fewer) for one or more categories. They are only a Winner in the categories they ranked for. A Winner can also be a Runner Up in one or more other categories, but are still considered a Winner and are allowed to use the Winner Kit for the their winning categories only.

2. Runner Ups ~ are those that ranked below the Winners for one or more categories and was not a Winner in any other category. There can be up to 15 total Runner Ups per category, but there will likely be less than 15 Runner Ups per category.

1. If you are a Winner and you haven't registered your business, go fill out our Business Registration form!

2. If you are a Winner and you have registered your business, get in contact with us.

* In some areas the Winner Kit might be only digitally available or not available.
